In fashion: ‘Like diamonds in the sky …’

A launch hosted by Anoushey Ashraf and marked by a fashion presentation was recently held at a farmhouse on Raiwind Road to celebrate the distribution partnership between Nishat Linen and the worldwide manufacturer of cut crystal, Swarovski.

The sprawling farmhouse was spruced up to receive socialites, fashionistas and dignitaries who arrived at the venue just under an hour’s journey on the road to Raiwind.

The featured presentation that followed showcased crystal-infused designer wear in rich, deep tones to set off the choicest of jewellery pieces that ranged from delicate to chunky, with the Swarovski element taking centre stage. The ramp show also featured a range of crystal-studded men’s accessories such as cuffs and rings.

Later, the trinkets were put on display in a separate section for the visitors who wanted to take a closer look to appreciate the fine craftsmanship that goes into the painstaking process of shaping and polishing each crystal to a perfect, sparkling finish. The designs ranged from the more traditional to modern cuts to cater to varied tastes and preferences, and for different occasions.

While speaking to Images on Sunday, Mrs Mansha said the collection would be made available at the fleet of Nishat stand-alone stores throughout the country, and would also help to project a positive, progressive and business-friendly image of Pakistan in the international business community.

The evening concluded as sky lanterns were released in quick succession followed by a brilliant display of fireworks that lit up the night sky.
